Acanthe is a 19th-century Swedish tiled-stove crown fragment in white-glazed terracotta. Deeply grooved leaves curl outward in layers around its hollow center. The glaze catches light along each raised edge, turning the dense botanical form into a study of curves and shadows. Crazing, chips, and losses expose the warm clay beneath.
