The old limewash is still there, uneven and worn. I wouldn’t want this lamp cleaned up; those traces are what give it its presence.

I love the tension in this chair: it has the mass of a boulder on slender legs, yet sits low enough to feel grounded. The texture of the fabric brings something organic to its very modern shape.

I came upon Puisais by chance, but recognized something of myself in his work immediately. He leaves the pencil marks, thumbprints, and open passages in place. To me, the painting feels alive because it’s still becoming.
